BOTSWANA

Botswana is a land with a desert landscape defined by the Kalahari Desert, where the sandy terrain reaches depths of over 500m, and the Okavango Delta, a lush animal habitat during seasonal floods. The flagship of Safari experiences in Southern Africa are Moremi Game Reserve (MGR) and Chobe National Park (CNP). Adding the unique ancient salt lakes of Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, which cannot be missed during your travels, makes for a complete Botswana Safari experience. In some of the most remote wildlife areas in the continent, we aim to give you a real ‘in the middle of nowhere’ experience and good exposure to wildlife. Botswana has the continent’s largest elephant population, numbering more than 130,000. The country’s parks are known for their National Geographic sightings. The Okavango Delta is a UNESCO World Heritage site that is best described as a vast inland river delta in northern Botswana, known for its sprawling grassy plains. Mbeu Safaris is ready to take you on this great adventure in Botswana.

SWAZILAND

“Eswatini is a small, landlocked monarchy in southern Africa, known for its wildlife reserves and festivals showcasing traditional Swazi culture. The Lebombo Mountains mark its northeastern border with Mozambique and extend down to South Africa, providing a picturesque backdrop to nature reserves and national parks.

For the next two nights, Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary will be our home. This sanctuary is Eswatini’s pioneer conservation area. It serves as a shining example of what is possible when passion, vision, and action fuse. Mlilwane was once a highly profitable multi-purpose farm that was labeled as an “impossible dream.” Proclaimed in 1961, it is now the kingdom’s most popular eco-destination among locals and international travelers alike.

The name “Mlilwane” comes from the many fires that were started by lightning strikes on Mlilwane Hill. It holds significance as the little fire that ignited the conservation movement in Eswatini.

Mbeu Safaris typically combines its South African trips with those to Eswatini . This is a great combination for visitors who want to experience three countries on a single safari.”

KENYA & TANZANIA

Home to the KiSwahili people, Kenya is a country in East Africa that encompasses savannas, lakelands, the dramatic Great Rift Valley, and mountain highlands. It is also home to wildlife such as lions, elephants, and rhinos. From Nairobi, the capital, safaris visit the Maasai Mara Reserve, known for its annual animal migrations as they move from the plains of the Serengeti to Masai Mara in unprecedented numbers that exceed 1.6 million wildebeests and more than 600,000 zebras. Amboseli National Park, from where views of Tanzania’s 5,895m Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, can be enjoyed, should also not be left out when we talk of this safari.

On our classic Safari, we double up on the experience by combining our tour of Kenya with Tanzania, which is known for its vast wilderness areas, including the plains of Serengeti National Park, a safari mecca populated by the “big five” game (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino), Ngorongoro crater, and the seldom-visited Lake Natron, home to the largest flocks of flamingos in the world. Offshore lie the tropical islands of Zanzibar, with Arabic influences, and a marine park home to whale sharks and coral reefs.
